Vascular Surgery

The Vascular Surgery Division sponsors an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education/Surgery Residency Review Committee approved Vascular Surgery Fellowship Program since 1985, as well one of the first Integrated 0+5 Residency Program in the Country since 2009, and the only one of each in the State of Arkansas. Both programs run in parallel and gain experiences in three different hospitals, a University hospital, a Veteran’s Affairs hospital and a private practice experience at Baptist Health hospital. We take great care to minimize overlap between the senior trainees by dividing all 4 into three different hospitals and two separate services at the University, allowing for extensive surgical experience and independent management of patients.
